New weapons have been added to Terraria with the Journey’s End update. It’s meant to be the game’s final update, and the developers have added two ridiculously overpowered, fancy weapons – the Zenith sword and the Celebration MK2 rocket launcher – as well as some more restrained ones. This guide is going to show you how to get new weapons in Terraria 1.4, what they look like and their stats.
Contents
Zenith sword
Probably the most important of the bunch is the Zenith sword. It’s a combination of nine other swords. When used, it acutally shoots those other blades like boomerangs, and can hit through walls. It does a bunch of damage and has an unreasonably high critical hit chances, with average speed and insane knockback.
The only way to get it is through crafting. The blueprint requires you to combine the Copper Shortsword, Enchanted Sword, Starfury, Meowmere, Influx Waver, Terra Blade, Horseman’s Blade, Seedler and Star Wrath.
Celebration Mk2 fireworks launcher
The Celebration MK 2 is a rocket launcher that fires off volleys of fireworks. It’s like an upgraded version of the original Celebration, since it shoots more projectiles with greater speed. It’ll turn your screen into a party, and each type of projectile behaves differently, in addition to ending with a different particle effect. The only way to get it is by farming the Moon Lord until it drops.
Super Star Shooter
The Super Star Shooter shoots falling stars, which then shoot off another projectile upon contact. It uses Fallen Stars as ammo, and you can get it from the travelling merchant for 50 gold pieces, but only after defeating The Destroyer, The Twins, or Skeletron Prime.
Whips
Whips are an entirely new class of summonning weapon. They have a unique arc and cannot cause critical hits. There are eight of them – some can be crafted, others drop from bosses, others still can only be bought. Here’s a list of them and how to obtain them:
- Leather Whip – Bought from the zoologist
- Snapthorn – Crafted from 12 stingers, 3 vines and 3 jungle spores using an iron or lead anvil
- Firecracker – Wall of Flesh drop
- Cool Whip – Crafted from 8 souls of light, 8 souls of night and a frost core, using an orichalcum or mythril anvil
- Durendal – Crafted from 12 hallowed bars uisng an orichalcum or mythril anvil
- Dark Harvest – Pumpking drop
- Kaleidoscope – Empress of Light drop
- Morning Star – Hardmode Dungeon drop
